Chick McGeehan
"My recent work has developed into the current distinctive colourist painting style from visits to the J.D.Ferguson Gallery in Perth and the City of Nice on the Cote D'Azure. The influence of Ferguson, Dufy, Mattisse and the Impressionists have helped me to re-discover the joy of capturing light, colour and atmosphere on canvas through the medium of oil paint. My most recent work has been inspired by the light and atmosphere of the harbours and coastline of the East Neuk of Fife, as well as the architecture of Edinburgh in this year of "Homecoming Scotland"
